      - Free IEEE stuff
      - Demonstrations of last year's first, second, and third prize Open Design Competition winners
      - The schedule and plans for IEEE this school year

...and we might even get to blow up some resistors!

Come hear what IEEE is all about and what we'll be doing this year, get some food, meet your classmates and other people in the major, see some cool projects, and have some fun to start the school year!

Officer Elections WEDNESDAY!

We will be electing new officers for the 2013-2014 school year Wednesday, May 8th, at 6:30pm in Engineering E104. All 5 positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Events Coordinator) are open to run for. Even if you don't run, come vote and have your say in the future of IEEE here at CSU.

Hope to see you there!

Cameron
IEEE President

The Open Design Competition is Starting!!!!!!

The Open Design Competition is, in our opinion, one of the greatest competitions ever devised.  Anyone, from any major, with any expertise can make absolutely anything that they want.  For the people who don't have a lot of experience in electronics, we hold workshops that teach everything from the basics of turning on LED's to making more advanced robotics.  If you haven't already, please register at bit.ly/WGXVch.  It looks great on your resume, in interviews, and there are some fantastic perks for people who compete.

Congrats to our new officers!

Congratulations to our new officers!

President: Cameron Bloom
Vice President: Sam Wright
Treasurer: Rachel Dondero
Secretary: Austin Steingrube
Student Event Coordinator: Olivia Trinko

Reminder:  IEEE Officer Elections are tonight (May 11th) at 7pm.  I will provide pizza, soda pop, and giveaways.  See you there!

Looking for New Treasurer

Hello folks,

Our current treasurer is leaving his position because he is moving away from the main CSU campus.  If you are interested in taking the position, please contact Austin Steingrube at removed email address.

(Update 8-27-13 - I removed my email address from the post as I have stepped down as a cabinet member of the group to focus on my heavy course load.)

Zombie Movie Night Moved

Hi folks,

Due to construction in Clark A101, the new room is Clark A102. The time is still 7pm.

See you there!
